JULY PREMIERES: TRUTH – AND SOMETHING STRANGER

This month, we present the rock-doc Ashes of American Flags: Wilco Live and the rock-protest doc Sounds Like a Revolution, as well as Behind The Burly Q, which documents the history of burlesque, and Cropsey, which exposes the horrifying truth behind an urban legend. We also have Flooding with Love for the Kid, a one-man, micro-budget remake of First Blood, that proves some fictions are stranger than truth.
SILENTS IS GOLDEN

Silent films. Live music. Nowhere else but the Mayfair. This month, in association with Music And Beyond, we present Battleship Potemkin with a new, live score by Tom Annand! Eisenstein wanted his embattled film’s score rewritten regularly to keep it relevant, and Annand’s masterful improvisation keeps that torch burning.
